Veronique apparated onto her wrap around porch of her childhood home with her luggage following her a second later. She then took out her wand adn said, Alohomora, silently in her head. The door unlocked for her and her luggage follower shortly behind her. She smiled as she walked into her familiar house, with the smell of vanilla floating in the air.

Looking around she could see that it needed a good cleaning. But, all of the furniture was there from years ago. Her mother never sold the house and the ministry did not touch it after Veronique and her mother, Genevive, and her brother, Chase, and abandoned their home years ago. She directed her luggage up to the master bedroom which would now be hers. About an inch of dust covered everything so she kept her shoes on as she walked through the house.

Looking up she saw the high ceiling with a large chandalier dangling from top which was also covered in dust. Walking to her left into the living room the comfy sofa, loveseat, and chair were in an open concept with the TV along the wall and a large bay window facing the front. After going through the living room she turned towards the dining room. The dining room had a medium sized oak table and a window that stretched from almost the floor to the very top of the high ceiling. This provided tons of light and the perfect view of the river. Then, she walked through the kitchen, noting how much she would use it, which would be hardly ever, yet it was still completely loaded with any chef's dream of tools. And of course the bathroom, not much to explain. There was a toilet, sink, counter, the usual. She smiled to herself of all of the good memories that happened in this house. Then, she walked through the dining room and living room again and up the stairs. This house had three bedrooms in it. She walked past her brother's old room, which will be made into a guest room, and her old room. Walking slowly she sat on the bed and looked around her old room, and took a deep breath. Good and bad memories had happened here. This is where she got her Beauxbatons letter, one of the best moments of her life. But, this is where her father, Russel, had physically abused her as a child, on of the worst moments of her life. She looked at her empty dresser and she looked into the mirror.

As the years from her graduating from Beauxbatons her features had remained much the same but mroe refined. Her emerald green eyes had become more vivid, her hair long wavy hair was at her waist, and she then looked at her body. Anybody could tell that Veronique was very much a woman and she had the noticeable curves to prove it. Then, her attention turned to the pictures lining the mirror. There were some of her and her best friend Armelle, in which she hadn't seen since graduation. There was Julian, with whom she worked with before she left, and she always had a soft spot in her heart for him. There was a picture of the blind fellow Terre, Guy. There was a picture of Jacob with Maria sulking in the backround. And then there was a picture of her ex-boyfriend, Russel. They were laughing and smiling together, did she ever miss those times. Since graduating, Veronique had found small jobs at hospitals, apothecracies, or anywhere she could find. She grabbed all the pictures and then walked to her room, past the second bathroom, into her now what would be her room. It had a queen size bed and french doors which would lead to a balcony facing the river. There was also a master bedroom which had an antique bathtub with the four legs and the usual toilet, sink, vanity counter, mirror, etc. The entire house had mahogany hardwood floors. The house had an elegant comfort to it. Sophisticated yet comfortable. You weren't afraid to touch anything in it. She opened up her trunks by magic and let them unpack themselves. Then, she went through each room and performed a spell that would clean out off the dust, mould, or anything of that nature.

Feeling quite satisfied with herself she laid down on the sofa and turned on the TV looking for anything on the Wizarding Network.

As she was flipping through the Wizarding Network she found an interesting documentary on legendary potion makers. She set the remote down on the coffee table and layed down on the couch. All of unpacking had gotten to her and Veronique's green eyes started to droop and eventually she fell asleep.

A couple hours later

Veronique awoke as she heard something new come on the television. Looking out the window she could see that it was nighttime. Then, she looked at the clock and she saw that it was late. She grabbed the remote and turned off the TV and headed up the stairs. She found her way to her bedroom and she opened up her drawers and took out some night things and threw them on. She then went under the covers and fell into a deep sleep.
